Why we made it
It started with the messages. "Do you have one in my size?" "Can you make this for adults?" "My daughter is wearing her ChiliPili lehenga for the wedding, what about me?"
Singapore mothers attend a lot of weddings, family photos, open houses, and festive pujas. The temperature is twenty-nine degrees and the humidity is real. Heavy bridal silks are not the answer. What was missing was an everyday line of festive ethnic wear that breathes, fits well, and looks finished in photos. Made by someone who actually wears it in this weather.
So we built one. Same thinking as the kids' line. Soft fabrics. Comfortable cuts. Festive enough for the photos. Quietly elegant the rest of the day.
